YOUTH MINISTRY TEAM

The Youth Ministry Team exists to provide fellowship and Christian Education to all children regardless of race, creed or color in a safe and fun environment. The Youth team consists of three distinct age groups: D2L (Darkness to light) is for teenagers, F.O.G. (Followers of God) is for ages 5-12 and children 4 and under. The Youth department conducts youth services for D2L and F.O.G. The nursery is open for children 4 and under.

The Youth Ministry Team also offers the Awana program. Awana is a national program that works to develop spiritual strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Every Wednesday during the school year, children ages 2 through high school meet at 6:50 p.m. and learn biblical truths in a fun and structured manner. Yearly activities include participating in the state-wide Bible Bowl and Awana games. During the year, children earn "Awana bucks" for class participation, attendance, Bible verse memorization and so on. At the end of each semester, clubbers may use their Awana bucks to purchase items from the Awana store. Awana runs from September to early June. Children can begin to attend anytime during the year. For more information about our Awana program email the Church Office.

Youth may also participate in the Youth Choir. The Youth Team coordinates several activities during the year for the children including an "Eggs and Crosses" hunt on Easter Sunday, "Holyween" an alternative to the pagan Halloween holiday and an Easter and Youth cantata. During the summer, the youth are involved in a variety of activities and field trips to keep them engaged. For more information email our Pastor of Youth.
